1.Saudi German Hospitals Group is the largest private Healthcare provider in the MENA region (Middle East & North Africa) established in 1988. The group is a multi-functional Healthcare company which is considered a Healthcare developer and not just an operator. It constructs its own hospitals and operates them in cooperation with numerous International institutions. SGH Group establishes a new hospital every year, with 10 hospitals and 12 upcoming projects in different development stages, it is widely expanding with a growing rate of 16% per year.
2.Makarem Sobhi Batterjee, the President and Vice-Chairman of Saudi German Health, paved the way towards expansion and advancement for our group by broadening its German foundation to build strong collaborations with renowned healthcare providers in the US, Canada, UK, and beyond. Under his leadership, we have focused on renovating our hospitals, digitally transforming our services, enhancing patient experience, introducing unique medical specialties, providing advanced treatments, bringing international doctors to the region, and building partnerships with international medical organizations.
3.There were large numbers of patients from Saudi Arabia going to Germany for quality medical treatment. These patients and their families found difficulties to identify right centers for their condition and also huge cultural and logistic difficulties. The Batterjee family therefore decided to establish their first hospital in Jeddah through its strategic relationship with well-known German universities.
4.SGH believes in patient-centered, high quality Healthcare, it operates according to standardized international parameters. In January 2018, after only 2 years of operation, Saudi German Hospital-Cairo received its first prestigious Joint Commissions International (JCI) accreditation; JCI is a non-profit international organization headquartered in the United States of America and considered the gold standard in health care worldwide.
5.In August 2018, and because SGH-Cairo aims to offer the highest quality of care to its patients worldwide, respecting their diverse cultures and different expectations, SGH-Cairo is the first hospital in Africa to receive TEMOS International Healthcare Accreditation (A German-based accreditation), which mainly focuses on the quality of care and the level of performance delivered to International patients, medical travelers as well as domestic patients, and on the continuum of patients’ care.
6.By the end of 2018, SGH-Cairo is the first hospital in Africa to receive the Canadian Accreditation. Accreditation Canada works with providers, policy makers and the public to improve the quality and safety of health and social services.
